Internal Complaints Committee (ICC)
“Internal Complaints Committee” (ICC) is constituted in higher education institutions under sub-regulation (1) of regulations of University Grants Commission of India in Gazette Notification Dated 2nd May 2016 for Prevention, Prohibition, and Redressal of sexual harassment of women employees and students in higher educational institutions, Regulations 2015. Any existing body already functioning with the same objective (like the Gender Sensitization Committee Against Sexual Harassment (GSCASH)) is reconstituted as the ICC.
Internal Complaints Cell
The Internal Complaints Cell of a TGTWREIS serves as a critical mechanism for addressing grievances related to Specifically discrimination, and other forms of misconduct within the academic community. Specifically focusing on the well being and safety of women staff, the ICC plays a pivotal role in creating a conducive work environment that fosters dignity, respect equality.
Any woman whether a student, faculty, staff member, or visitor can approach the ICC to report incidents of sexual harassment.
Objectives of the ICC
Ensuring a Safe and Supportive Environment
Create a campus environment where women feel safe to raise concerns without fear of reprisal.
Foster a culture where harassment and discrimination are not tolerated.
Promoting Gender Equality
Address systemic issues affecting women in academic institutions.
Ensure equitable access to opportunities and support professional advancement.
Facilitating Fair and Transparent Processes
Conduct impartial investigations with clear guidelines.
Treat all parties with respect, dignity, and confidentiality.

Zero Tolerance for Harassment and Discrimination: Strive for a campus free from harassment, discrimination, and bias.
Empowering Women Staff and Students: Provide support through counseling, legal assistance, and mentorship programs.
Awareness and Prevention: Conduct educational programs, workshops, and training to promote prevention and bystander intervention.

Responsibilities of the ICC
§ Assist complainants in filing complaints with the police, if necessary.
§ Facilitate dispute resolution through fair conciliation while protecting complainant rights.
§ Ensure confidentiality and provide mandatory relief such as leave, transfer, or departmental reassignment during complaint investigation.
§ Protect complainants and witnesses from retaliation or discrimination.
§ Conduct regular meetings and meet promptly upon receiving complaints.
